Alma Čače
Croatian artist Alma Čače transforms the raw energy of nature into layered abstract expressions, using handcrafted brushes made from natural materials to capture the eternal voice of nature itself. Her intuitive approach embraces spontaneity and natural imperfection, resulting in works that pulse with the same primal energy as the landscapes that inspire them.

Alma Božanić Čače, born and raised in Komiža on the island of Vis, draws her artistic inspiration from nature, the coastline, and the sea. She graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Split and earned her degree from the Arts Academy (Department of Fine Arts and Restoration) in 2001.
She actively exhibits her work, leads art workshops, has participated in 21 group exhibitions, and prepared 24 solo exhibitions. She is a member of HULU Split, a partner of the Vis Archipelago Geopark, and has the status of a freelance artist.
She finds inspiration in people and their environment, especially in the coast and sea. She considers the intersection of sea and land particularly intriguing from an artistic perspective. Nature relaxes her, so she often goes on trips to nearby coves and beaches, where she photographs future motifs and collects materials that she later recycles in various ways. She uses driftwood as a painting tool, a base for paintings, or a material for making frames.
As a partner of the Vis Archipelago Geopark, she collaborates on various projects. Additionally, through occasional work in several institutions, in synergy with children and adults, she continuously gains new knowledge and experiences that she applies to her artistic expression.
She is dedicated to promoting and presenting the magnificent idea of life by the sea and coast, making it the foundation of her creative work and artistic approach.
Besides being involved in painting and creative work, she is a wife and mother of two girls. They all live together in Split and spend their summers in Komiža.
