As fellow curators, art historians, cultural workers, and, above all, art lovers, we recognize your struggles. We’ve seen many local artists (and other talented artists we’ve met so far), juggling day jobs and small gigs that don’t pay well, fighting with windmills and struggling to get their work noticed.
This made us wonder: What if we could change this?
After realizing that there are only a few local online platforms that focus on promoting contemporary Croatian artists, we decided it was time to create our own. The result is our DLightful Gallery—an online gallery imagined to be a lifeline for creative souls. Whether you’re selling affordable art or high-value pieces, we created the perfect digital space to spotlight your art and connect it with its audience.
What is the DLightful Gallery?
The DLightful Gallery is not just about displaying art online—it’s designed to be a launchpad for local artists, a place where they can connect with potential art buyers, expand their network of connections and slowly (but surely!) build their careers. Our team of art historians and curators thoughtfully approach every artist, carefully selecting them to make sure only high-quality art is showcased. By exhibiting in the DLightful Gallery, artists get real exposure and genuine support from a creative team that has spent more time gazing at art than is ready to admit.
Our online artwork gallery is set up to present all admitted artists and their works. Once you find yourself on the gallery page, it’s extremely easy to navigate it. You can browse featured artists and their latest works, filter through categories (e.g. by artist or technique), or even commission a custom piece. Each artist has their own profile consisting of a short biography and high-quality images of their art. The prices of all the artworks are displayed clearly, which is perfect for those who are interested in buying art but might be shy to inquire about it.

Because most of us love what we do (because let’s be real, who goes into the art industry for money?), many lower their prices for the sake of keeping their clients, or perhaps out of fear of losing potential buyers. We truly believe that every type of creative work and effort should be paid by merit, which is why we’re committed to turning your creative passion into a sustainable career, whether it’s by selling original pieces or connecting you with potential commission opportunities. Our mission is to make it easier for art lovers to buy art and directly support our local artists.
Low-Risk and Low-Cost Way to Showcase and Sell Art
Most of all, presenting your art online is an easy and affordable way to introduce your art to both local and international art lovers and investors. For just a €50 admittance fee (that is used to cover costs for setting up your online profile), you get a low-risk as well as a low-cost opportunity to amplify your artistic visibility, especially if compared to the costs of creating your own website. Simply submit your application, wait for our approval email and let us do the rest. When your artwork finds its perfect home, we take a modest commission—on which amount we’ll agree beforehand.
How to Submit Your Art to Our Online Gallery?
We’ve made the application process for our online gallery as painless as possible—you can submit your artwork by filling in our Artist application form.
Here’s what you’ll need to prepare in advance:
- High-quality photos: 5-10 images of your available works (max 5MB each, formats: JPG/PNG/TIFF, ideally 300 dpi). High-quality images are crucial for representing your art in the best light possible!
- Artist bio: A brief introduction telling your story as an artist (previous experience, education, inspiration).
- Exhibition history: List of your recent shows, projects, and artistic achievements.
For each artwork you’ll need to enclose:
- Title and year of creation
- Medium and technique used
- Dimensions (height × width × depth in cm)
- Price in EUR (your net price)
- Additional details: framing, editions, special handling instructions
If you want to keep it simple, feel free to upload your artwork details in a single Word or text file along with your photos. The process of filling in the form takes about 15–20 minutes, approximately the time you would spend scrolling through social media or brewing a nice cup of coffee.
After submitting, just lay back and let us review your application in the shortest period possible. We’ll let you know about our decision via email!
