Dora Derado Giljanović performed the proofreading of an English-language academic book edited by me. Dora holds a PhD in Art History and an MA in English language and literature, with years of experience in exhibition organization and curation, graphic design, translation, and project management.

She has been a member of HULU Split (the Croatian Association of Visual Artists, Split) since 2016 and the Croatian section of AICA since 2022.

She has also been involved in the implementation of several research projects. Actively researching art, mainly that of the 20th century and contemporary art, she presents her research results in scholarly and scientific articles and at conferences.

She is currently an independent researcher and the owner of DLightful Services.

The reason for this is that Dora Derado, the owner and founder of the business, is a native speaker of both languages and can offer (and aims for) perfection and precision when it comes to translating. Oral translations can be consecutive (when the translator has breaks to translate e.g., during a meeting, negotiations, court proceedings, etc.) or simultaneous (the translation occurs in real-time, without breaks for the translator e.g., during a scientific conference).

The cost of a translation will depend on the type (written/oral, proofreading), language, and the nature of the translation (casual or professional/scientific).

For written translations as well as proofreading, the cost is measured in translation “cards”, wherein one card equates to 1.500 characters including spaces.
